Like street food, Mumbai is also having some restaurants which do not dig a hole in your pocket.
Here's a list of some pocket-friendly restaurants for you.

1. Bademiya

Although it's not a restaurant but a roadside stall for a low budget foodie this is one of the best eateries behind the Taj hotel in Colaba. However, it has a row of tables and chairs seating around 50 people on its sidewalk. You just have to spread a newspaper and eat like the locals on the trunk of your car or taxi or duck into the empty gallery across the street. People from all levels of society visit Bademiya for its delicious barbecue specialities. It serves the traditional Muslim cuisine of kebabs and paper-thin roomali flatbreads. The seekh kebab (spiced lamb patty) and boti kebab (yoghurt-marinated lamb) are swift sellers, as are the crammed with meat and onions. It is difficult to spend more than a few hundred rupees.
